More About My Philosophy
When I was laid-off from my university job, it got dark. I felt isolated with no way to communicate my worth. Leaving academia is akin to leaving a religion.
I knew I wasn't the only person feeling like this, so I started #HireHigherEd. I wanted to build a community, and I knew I had to show industry what I was capable of doing. The response has been overwhelming and it's opened possibilities that never occurred to me.
Now I help other people make their own transition from campus-based positions to industry careers, and I love doing it.
To my core, I believe we are called into being to help other people. I've learned first-hand the value of hearing your own story told back to you, and I want to help others feel that same validation.
